🍬 White Chocolate Fudge with Candied Fruits

🕒 Prep Time: 10 mins

🍳 Cook Time: 10 mins

❄️ Chill Time: 2–3 hours

🍽️ Makes: ~36 small pieces

✨ Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (510g) white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate

  • 1 can (14 oz / 396g) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 cup mixed candied fruits (chopped if in large pieces; e.g., cherries, pineapple, citrus peel)

  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional – e.g., pistachios, almonds, or pecans)

  • Butter or parchment paper for lining the pan

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prepare the pan:
Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper or lightly butter it. Leave a little overhang for easy removal.

  2. Melt the chocolate:
In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until smooth and fully melted. (Or use a double boiler if preferred.)

  3. Add flavor & salt:
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.

  4. Mix in fruits & nuts:
Fold in the candied fruits and optional chopped nuts until evenly distributed.

  5. Pour & smooth:
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top.

  6. Chill to set:
Refrigerate for at least 2 to 3 hours, or until firm.

  7. Cut & serve:
Lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang. Cut into small squares with a sharp knife.

🍊 Tips & Variations:

  • For extra flavor: Add 1/4 tsp almond extract or a dash of orange zest.

  • Festive touch: Sprinkle extra chopped fruits or edible glitter on top before chilling.

  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for longer storage.
