Tortellini Pasta Salad

Here’s a Tortellini Pasta Salad recipe that’s perfect for summer BBQs, potlucks, or an easy lunch. It’s flavorful, colorful, and comes together quickly!


🥗 Tortellini Pasta Salad Recipe

🕒 Prep Time: 20 minutes

🍽️ Serves: 6–8


✅ Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini, refrigerated or frozen

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced and quartered

  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced

  • 1/2 cup salami or pepperoni, diced (optional)

  • 1/2 cup mozzarella balls or cubed mozzarella

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (or parsley)

  • 1/3–1/2 cup Italian dressing, store-bought or homemade

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


🥄 Instructions

  1. Cook Tortellini:
    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Let cool.

  2. Combine Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, mix together the cooked tortellini, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, olives, salami (if using), mozzarella, and basil.

  3. Dress It Up:
    Pour the Italian dressing over the salad and toss to coat everything evenly.

  4. Chill & Serve:
    Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving for the flavors to meld. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.


🔄 Variations & Tips

  • Add grilled chicken or chickpeas for extra protein.

  • Use pesto, balsamic vinaigrette, or Greek dressing instead of Italian.

  • Want it vegetarian? Omit the salami and maybe add some artichoke hearts or roasted red peppers.
