Here’s a super easy and delicious peach cobbler recipe that anyone can make—minimal ingredients and fuss!
The Easiest Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients:
-
1 can (about 15 oz) of sliced peaches in syrup (or about 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced)
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
1 cup sugar (split 3/4 cup and 1/4 cup)
-
1 cup milk
-
1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
-
2 tsp baking powder
-
Pinch of salt
-
Optional: cinnamon or nutmeg for sprinkling
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven: to 350°F (175°C).
-
Melt butter: Place the butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish and put it in the oven while it’s preheating so the butter can melt.
-
Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
-
Add milk: Pour the milk into the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
-
Pour batter: Take the baking dish out of the oven once butter is melted, and pour the batter over the melted butter. Don’t stir!
-
Add peaches: Spoon the peaches and their syrup evenly over the batter. Again, do not stir.
-
Sprinkle sugar: Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup sugar over the top. Optionally, sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg.
-
Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
-
Serve warm: Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if you like!
Tip: The batter will rise around the peaches, creating a cobbler with a crisp crust and soft fruit inside. Easy and yummy!
