Strawberry Banana Pudding

Here’s a Strawberry Banana Pudding recipe that’s creamy, fruity, and perfect for any occasion—especially summer get-togethers!


🍓 Strawberry Banana Pudding Recipe

Servings: 8–10
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Chill Time: 2–4 hours (or overnight)
Total Time: 2.5–4.5 hours


🛒 Ingredients:

For the Pudding:

  • 1 box (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 2 cups cold milk

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1½ cups heavy whipping cream (or 1 tub Cool Whip, thawed)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Layers:

  • 1 box Nilla Wafers (or shortbread cookies)

  • 3–4 ripe bananas, sliced

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced

  • Extra whipped cream and fruit for topping (optional)


🍽️ Directions:

  1. Make the Pudding Base:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until it starts to thicken (about 2 minutes).

    • Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until smooth.

    • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form (or skip this step if using Cool Whip).

    • Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture. Set aside.

  2. Layer the Dessert:

    • In a trifle dish, 9×13 pan, or large glass bowl, start with a layer of Nilla Wafers.

    • Add a layer of banana slices, then strawberries.

    • Spoon a generous layer of pudding mixture over the fruit.

    • Repeat the layers (wafers, bananas, strawberries, pudding) until the dish is full, ending with pudding on top.

  3. Chill:

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (overnight is even better) to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften.

  4. Serve:

    • Just before serving, garnish with extra fruit and whipped cream if desired.


🔁 Tips & Variations:

  • Chocolate Twist: Add chocolate chips or drizzle melted chocolate between layers.

  • Crunchy Layer: Add crushed graham crackers or pecans for texture.

  • Make it Boozy: Add a splash of banana liqueur or rum to the pudding mix (for adults only).
