Steak Bites:
Ingredients:
-
1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or your choice)
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
1 tbsp garlic powder
-
1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
-
2 tbsp butter
Instructions:
-
Prep the Steak: Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Optionally, add chopped fresh rosemary or thyme for extra flavor.
-
Cook Steak Bites: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak cubes in a single layer (work in batches if necessary).
-
Sear the Steak: Sear each side for about 2-3 minutes or until they’re golden brown and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
-
Finish with Butter: Once the steak bites are cooked, add the butter to the skillet and let it melt. Toss the steak in the melted butter for extra flavor.
Fettuccine in Garlic Butter Sauce:
Ingredients:
-
1 lb fettuccine pasta
-
1/2 cup butter
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
1/2 cup heavy cream
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
-
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
-
Cook the Fettuccine: Boil the pasta in salted water according to the package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
-
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not burnt.
-
Add Cream: Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
-
Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet. Toss the pasta in the sauce, adding a little pasta water to help coat it if needed. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and Parmesan if desired.
