Here’s a simple and delicious Slow Cooker Lipton Onion Potatoes recipe. It’s a comforting side dish that’s easy to prepare and full of flavor thanks to the classic Lipton Onion Soup Mix.


🥔 Slow Cooker Lipton Onion Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds potatoes (Yukon Gold or red potatoes work best), cut into chunks

  • 1 packet (1 oz) Lipton Onion Soup Mix

  • 1/4 cup olive oil or melted butter

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional: parsley or chives)

Optional Add-ins:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (added at the end)

  • 1/2 cup sour cream (added just before serving)

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion or bell pepper (for extra flavor)


Instructions:

  1. Prep the potatoes: Wash and cut potatoes into evenly sized chunks (about 1 to 1.5 inches). No need to peel unless you prefer them that way.

  2. Mix the seasoning: In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, olive oil (or melted butter), and any optional spices.

  3. Load the slow cooker: Transfer the mixture to your slow cooker and spread it evenly.

  4. Cook:

    • Low: 6–7 hours

    • High: 3–4 hours
      (Cook until the potatoes are fork-tender.)

  5. (Optional): In the last 15–20 minutes, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and let it melt.

  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley or chives, and serve warm. Add sour cream on top if desired.


✅ Tips:

  • Stir once or twice during cooking if you’re around, to keep the seasoning evenly distributed.

  • Lining the slow cooker with a liner or lightly greasing it helps prevent sticking.

  • Great alongside grilled meats, roasts, or as a stand-alone vegetarian dish.
