Shrimp with garlic and butter

Here’s a simple and delicious Shrimp with Garlic and Butter recipe for you:


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)


Instructions:

  1. Prep the shrimp:
    Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat the pan:
    In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until melted and hot.

  3. Cook garlic:
    Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant — don’t let it burn!

  4. Cook shrimp:
    Add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2 minutes on one side until they start to turn pink.

  5. Flip shrimp:
    Flip the shrimp and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Cook for another 2 minutes until shrimp are opaque and cooked through.

  6. Add lemon and parsley:
    Remove the pan from heat. Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley for freshness.

  7. Serve:
    Serve immediately with rice, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up the buttery garlic sauce.
