Reese’s Peanut Butter No-Bake Bars

Posted on September 3, 2025

Here’s a detailed recipe for making Reese’s Peanut Butter No-Bake Bars – a rich, peanut buttery treat that mimics the flavor of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. They’re easy to make, require no baking, and are perfect for chocolate and peanut butter lovers.

🥜 Reese’s Peanut Butter No-Bake Bars

🕒 Total Time: 20 minutes prep + 1–2 hours chilling

🍫 Yield: ~24 bars (depending on size)

📋 Ingredients:

For the Base Layer:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks / 226g) unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 cups (200g) graham cracker crumbs (about 14–16 full sheets)

  • 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar (a.k.a. confectioners’ sugar)

  • 1½ cups (375g) creamy peanut butter (not natural peanut butter – use brands like Jif or Skippy)

For the Chocolate Topping:

  • 1½ cups (260g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • ¼ cup (60g) creamy peanut butter

🍴 Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Pan

  • Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil, leaving overhang on the sides to lift bars out later.

  • Lightly grease it (optional but helps with clean slicing).

Step 2: Make the Peanut Butter Base

  1. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and peanut butter.

  2. Stir together until smooth and fully incorporated. It will resemble a thick dough.

  3. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Use a spatula or your hands (tip: lightly wet fingers or use a sheet of wax paper to press down).

Step 3: Make the Chocolate Topping

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter.

  2. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth (usually 1½ to 2 minutes total).

    • Alternatively, melt over a double boiler on the stovetop.

  3. Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer. Spread evenly with a spatula.

Step 4: Chill

  • Refrigerate the bars for at least 1–2 hours, or until fully set.

Step 5: Slice and Serve

  1. Use the parchment/foil overhang to lift the bars from the pan.

  2. Cut into squares or rectangles using a sharp knife. For clean edges, wipe the knife between cuts.

🔁 Variations & Tips:

  • Crunchy twist: Use crunchy peanut butter or add chopped peanuts to the base layer.

  • Topping ideas: Sprinkle crushed peanuts, sea salt, or mini Reese’s pieces on top before the chocolate sets.

  • Storage: Store bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 2 months (separate layers with parchment).
