Here’s a simple and delicious puff pastry appetizer recipe — perfect for entertaining:


🧀 Cheesy Spinach Puff Pastry Bites

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)

  • 1/2 cup frozen spinach (thawed and squeezed dry)

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional: red pepper flakes or grated Parmesan for topping


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare filling: In a bowl, mix together spinach, cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  3. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 9 or 12 squares, depending on size preference.

  4. Spoon filling (about 1 tablespoon) into the center of each square.

  5. Fold the corners of each square over the filling and pinch them in the middle to seal. You can also just fold them into triangles or leave them open-faced like mini tarts.

  6. Brush with egg wash for golden color.

  7. Optional: Sprinkle with red pepper flakes or Parmesan.

  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.

  9. Cool slightly and serve warm.
