Pico De Gallo

Here’s a classic Pico de Gallo recipe — fresh, zesty, and super easy to make!


🌶️ Pico de Gallo (Fresh Tomato Salsa)

📝 Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe Roma tomatoes, diced

  • 1 small white onion, finely chopped

  • 1–2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tablespoons)

  • Salt, to taste (start with about 1/2 teaspoon)

🥣 Optional Add-ins:

  • 1 small garlic clove, minced (for extra bite)

  • Diced avocado (added just before serving)

  • Dash of ground cumin


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prep the ingredients: Dice tomatoes and onions evenly for good texture. Mince jalapeños (use gloves if sensitive to heat).

  2. Mix together: In a bowl, combine tomatoes, onion, jalapeños, and cilantro.

  3. Season: Add lime juice and salt. Stir to combine.

  4. Taste and adjust: Let sit for 10–15 minutes so flavors meld. Add more salt or lime juice if needed.

  5. Serve fresh: Great with tortilla chips, tacos, grilled meats, or as a topping for eggs.


🧊 Storage Tip:

Best eaten the same day, but you can refrigerate it for up to 2 days. Drain excess liquid before serving leftovers.
