🍫 Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake Recipe
🧁 Ingredients:
-
1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)
-
1 box instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz)
-
2 cups milk (for the pudding)
-
1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
-
1/2 cup melted butter (1 stick)
-
1 bag mini Reese’s peanut butter cups (8–10 oz), halved or quartered
-
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
-
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving)
🥣 Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
-
Whisk pudding mix with 2 cups of milk in a bowl until slightly thickened (about 2 minutes).
-
Pour pudding evenly into the bottom of the baking dish.
-
Spoon or drizzle peanut butter over the pudding layer. It doesn’t have to be perfectly even.
-
Sprinkle halved peanut butter cups across the surface.
-
Sprinkle dry chocolate cake mix evenly on top (do not mix!).
-
Pour melted butter over the cake mix, trying to moisten as much of it as possible.
-
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if using.
-
Bake for 40–45 minutes until bubbly and the top is mostly set. It will still be gooey inside.
-
Cool slightly, then serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
🔁 Variations:
-
Use chocolate-peanut butter cake mix for extra flavor.
-
Add a swirl of Nutella or caramel before baking.
-
Try chopped Snickers or Butterfinger instead of peanut butter cups.
