Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake

Here’s a Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake recipe that’s rich, chocolatey, gooey, and ridiculously easy to make. No mixing bowls needed—just dump, layer, and bake!


🍫 Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake Recipe

🧁 Ingredients:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)

  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz)

  • 2 cups milk (for the pudding)

  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)

  • 1/2 cup melted butter (1 stick)

  • 1 bag mini Reese’s peanut butter cups (8–10 oz), halved or quartered

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving)


🥣 Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.

  3. Whisk pudding mix with 2 cups of milk in a bowl until slightly thickened (about 2 minutes).

  4. Pour pudding evenly into the bottom of the baking dish.

  5. Spoon or drizzle peanut butter over the pudding layer. It doesn’t have to be perfectly even.

  6. Sprinkle halved peanut butter cups across the surface.

  7. Sprinkle dry chocolate cake mix evenly on top (do not mix!).

  8. Pour melted butter over the cake mix, trying to moisten as much of it as possible.

  9. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if using.

  10. Bake for 40–45 minutes until bubbly and the top is mostly set. It will still be gooey inside.

  11. Cool slightly, then serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.


🔁 Variations:

  • Use chocolate-peanut butter cake mix for extra flavor.

  • Add a swirl of Nutella or caramel before baking.

  • Try chopped Snickers or Butterfinger instead of peanut butter cups.
