Parmesan Meatloaf

Here’s a tasty recipe for Parmesan Meatloaf — it’s savory, cheesy, and easy to make!


Parmesan Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tbsp dried)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or a mix of oregano, basil, thyme)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, soak the breadcrumbs in milk for about 5 minutes until softened.

  3. Add ground beef, Parmesan, onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the bowl.

  4. Mix everything together gently but thoroughly — avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.

  5. Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a baking sheet.

  6. Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top and sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese.

  7. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through (internal temperature around 160°F or 70°C).

  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
