Ingredients:

  • 2 cups shredded coconut (unsweetened or sweetened based on preference)

  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (or almond extract for a twist)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for added sweetness)

  • Optional coating: melted chocolate, cocoa powder, or extra shredded coconut

Instructions:

  1. Mix the base:
    In a large bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. If you want it sweeter, add the powdered sugar.

  2. Chill the mixture:
    Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about 20–30 minutes. This makes it easier to roll into balls.

  3. Form the balls:
    Once chilled, scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into balls using your hands. If the mixture is too sticky, lightly dampen your hands or dust them with powdered sugar.

  4. Coat (optional):
    Roll the balls in melted chocolate, cocoa powder, or extra shredded coconut, depending on your taste.

  5. Set and serve:
    Chill the finished balls for another 15–30 minutes until firm. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
