Here’s a fun and delicious Mini Taco Cupcakes recipe! These bite-sized savory treats are perfect for parties, game days, or a quick family dinner. Think of them as taco-flavored bites baked in wonton wrappers, layered with classic taco fillings.


🌮 Mini Taco Cupcakes Recipe

Cook Time: 15–18 minutes
Servings: 12 mini taco cupcakes

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 24 wonton wrappers

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)

  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 Tbsp homemade taco seasoning)

  • 2/3 cup salsa

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)

  • 1/2 cup black beans (optional, rinsed and drained)

  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes (optional)

  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)

  • Sour cream, guacamole, or jalapeño slices for topping


🔥 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Cook the meat:
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess grease. Add taco seasoning and salsa; stir to combine. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

  3. Assemble the cups:

    • Place one wonton wrapper in each muffin cup, pressing it into the bottom and up the sides.

    • Add a small spoonful of taco meat, then sprinkle a little cheese.

    • Add another wonton wrapper on top (rotated 45 degrees for a layered look), press down gently.

    • Repeat the layers: meat, cheese, and optional black beans or tomatoes.

  4. Bake:
    Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the wonton edges are golden brown and crispy.

  5. Cool slightly and top with sour cream, guacamole, green onions, or jalapeño slices.


💡 Tips:

  • Want them spicy? Add hot salsa or diced jalapeños in the meat layer.

  • Vegetarian option: Skip the meat and use seasoned black beans or crumbled tofu.

  • Make ahead: Cook the meat mixture in advance and assemble just before baking.
