Posted on August 7, 2025

Here’s a  recipe for Million Dollar Pie, also known as Millionaire Pie — a creamy, no-bake dessert that’s rich, refreshing, and super easy to make. It’s especially popular in the Southern U.S. and perfect for warm weather!

🥧 Million Dollar Pie Recipe (No-Bake)

⭐ Overview:

  • Prep time: 15 minutes

  • Chill time: 4+ hours (or overnight)

  • Serves: 8

  • Difficulty: Easy

  • Style: No-bake refrigerator pie

📝 Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (fresh or bottled)

  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, well drained

  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut (optional but classic)

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

  • 1 container (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed (or homemade whipped cream)

For the crust:

  • 1 pre-made graham cracker crust (store-bought or homemade – see below)

🔧 Optional Homemade Graham Cracker Crust:

If you’d rather make your own crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10–12 crackers)

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 6 tablespoons melted butter

To make:

  1. Mix crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl until well combined.

  2. Press into a 9-inch pie plate.

  3. Chill for 1 hour (or bake at 350°F/175°C for 8 minutes and cool before filling).

🍴 Instructions:

  1. Mix condensed milk and lemon juice:

    • In a large bowl, stir together the sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice. This will thicken slightly.

  2. Add fruit and mix-ins:

    • Fold in the crushed pineapple, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts.

  3. Add whipped topping:

    • Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the mixture is fluffy and evenly combined.

  4. Fill the crust:

    • Spoon the mixture into your graham cracker crust and smooth the top with a spatula.

  5. Chill:

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the pie to set properly.

🍒 Optional Toppings (Just Before Serving):

  • Whipped cream rosettes

  • Maraschino cherries

  • Extra chopped nuts

  • Toasted coconut flakes

📌 Notes & Variations:

  • Tropical twist: Add chopped maraschino cherries or mandarin oranges.

  • More citrus: Use a bit of lime zest or juice for a tarter flavor.

  • Nut-free version: Omit the nuts if there are allergies.

  • Mini pies: Spoon filling into mini graham cracker crusts for individual servings.

📦 Storage:

  • Refrigerator: Covered, up to 4 days.

  • Freezer: You can freeze the pie for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge before serving.
