Mango Habanero Honey Garlic Sauce

🌶️ Mango Habanero Honey Garlic Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe mango (peeled, pitted, diced) — or 1 cup mango puree

  • 2-3 habanero peppers (adjust to spice level, remove seeds for less heat)

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced or smashed)

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp lime juice (optional, for brightness)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or neutral oil

  • Salt to taste


Instructions:

  1. Sauté aromatics:
    In a small saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (do not brown).

  2. Blend ingredients:
    In a blender or food processor, combine sautéed garlic, mango, habaneros, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.

  3. Simmer:
    Pour the blended sauce back into the saucepan. Simmer on low heat for 8–10 minutes to thicken slightly and let flavors meld. Stir occasionally.

  4. Taste and adjust:
    Add salt to taste, and adjust sweetness or heat if needed with more honey or an extra pepper.

  5. Cool & store:
    Let the sauce cool before transferring it to a jar. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
