Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken

🧾 Ingredients

For the Marinade:

  • ½ cup olive oil

  • ½ cup ranch dressing (preferably Hidden Valley)

  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp white vinegar

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • ½ tsp black pepper

For the Ranch Spread:

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ¼ cup ranch dressing

For the Parmesan Crumb Topping:

  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp garlic salt

  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Additional Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken:

    • Combine all marinade ingredients in a bowl.

    • Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over them.

    • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 2–3 hours.

  2. Prepare the Ranch Spread:

    • Mix grated Parmesan cheese and ranch dressing in a bowl.

    • Refrigerate until ready to use.

  3. Prepare the Parmesan Crumb Topping:

    • In a bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, garlic salt, grated Parmesan cheese, and melted butter.

    • Mix until breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

  4. Cook the Chicken:

    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Remove chicken from marinade and sauté each breast for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  5. Assemble the Dish:

    • Preheat your oven’s broiler.

    • Place cooked chicken breasts on a baking sheet.

    • Spread the ranch mixture evenly over each chicken breast.

    • Top with shredded provolone cheese.

    • Sprinkle the Parmesan crumb topping over the cheese.

  6. Broil:

    • Broil the assembled chicken for 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the topping is golden brown.

  7. Serve:

    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

    • Serve hot with your choice of side dishes.


🔍 Tips & Variations

  • Grilling Option: For a smoky flavor, grill the marinated chicken breasts over medium-high heat for 4–7 minutes per side until fully cooked.

  • Keto-Friendly: Substitute panko breadcrumbs with crushed pork rinds for a low-carb version.

  • Air Fryer Method: After marinating and assembling, air fry the chicken at 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes until the topping is crispy and golden.
