Here’s a delicious Loaded Tater Tot Nachos recipe for you!


Loaded Tater Tot Nachos

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag (about 32 oz) frozen tater tots

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend cheese)

  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (or salsa)

  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)

  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup guacamole or sliced avocado

  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Cook the Tater Tots:
    Preheat your oven according to package directions. Spread the frozen tater tots evenly on a baking sheet and bake until crispy and golden, about 20-25 minutes.

  2. Cook the Beef:
    While the tots bake, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain excess fat. Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmer until thickened (about 3-5 minutes). Remove from heat.

  3. Assemble Nachos:
    Once tater tots are crispy, spread them on a large oven-safe platter or sheet pan. Sprinkle the cooked taco beef evenly over the tots. Add black beans, tomatoes or salsa, jalapeños, and black olives.

  4. Add Cheese:
    Sprinkle shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the top.

  5. Melt Cheese:
    Place the loaded tots under the broiler for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch closely to avoid burning.

  6. Top and Serve:
    Remove from oven and garnish with green onions, dollops of sour cream and guacamole or avocado slices. Sprinkle fresh cilantro if desired.


Tips:

  • You can swap ground beef with ground turkey or even shredded chicken.

  • For extra spice, add hot sauce or more jalapeños.

  • Great for game day, parties, or a fun family dinner!
