Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp

Here’s a delicious and easy Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp recipe that you can whip up in about 15 minutes:

🍤 Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp
Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)

1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional, but recommended)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:
Prep the shrimp: Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.

Sauté garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with the olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes, just until fragrant (don’t brown it).

Cook the shrimp: Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking.

Add lemon & finish: Reduce heat to low. Add lemon juice, lemon zest (if using), remaining tablespoon of butter, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat everything in the buttery lemon-garlic sauce.

Garnish & serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

🍽️ Serving Ideas:
Serve over pasta, rice, or quinoa.

Great with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.

Pair with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh green salad.
