Here’s a quick and easy 5-minute homemade ice cream recipe that you can whip up with just a few ingredients—no ice cream maker needed!


5-Minute No-Churn Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, crushed cookies, fruit pieces, or any toppings you like


Instructions:

  1. Chill your tools:
    For best results, put your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes before starting. This helps the cream whip faster and fluffier.

  2. Whip the cream:
    Pour the cold heavy cream into the chilled bowl. Using an electric mixer or a hand whisk, whip the cream on high speed until stiff peaks form. This means when you lift the whisk, the cream should hold its shape and not collapse.

  3. Add condensed milk & vanilla:
    Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract into the whipped cream using a spatula. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream too much—fold just until everything is well combined.

  4. Add mix-ins (optional):
    If you want, stir in your favorite extras like chocolate chips, crushed cookies, or fruit bits.

  5. Serve immediately or freeze:
    You can eat it right away for a soft-serve style treat, or transfer the mixture to a container and freeze for 2-3 hours for firmer, scoopable ice cream.


Tips:

  • Sweetened condensed milk is key here—it adds sweetness and creaminess without needing to churn.

  • You can substitute the vanilla extract with other flavorings like almond extract, cocoa powder (for chocolate), or coffee.

  • For a healthier twist, try using coconut cream instead of heavy cream and condensed milk.
