HOMEMADE APPLE CAKE

Here’s a classic Homemade Apple Cake recipe that’s moist, spiced just right, and perfect for any season—especially fall.


🍎 Homemade Apple Cake Recipe

✅ Ingredients:

Dry:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

Wet:

  • 1 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter for a richer flavor)

  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Fruits & Nuts:

  • 3 cups peeled and chopped apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji work great)

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or a bundt pan.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients
    In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  3. Mix Wet Ingredients
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the oil and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla.

  4. Combine Wet & Dry
    Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Don’t overmix.

  5. Fold in Apples & Nuts
    Gently fold in the chopped apples and nuts (if using).

  6. Bake
    Pour the batter into your prepared pan and bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Cool & Serve
    Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm or room temp—great with a dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!


🔁 Optional Add-ons:

  • Drizzle with a simple glaze (powdered sugar + milk + vanilla)

  • Add raisins or dried cranberries for a fruity twist

  • Substitute half the oil with applesauce for a lighter version
