Hawaiian King Cheese Cake

Posted on August 4, 2025

Here’s a Hawaiian King Cheesecake recipe inspired by the flavors of the popular Hawaiian King bakery-style cheesecake. It combines tropical flavors like pineapple and coconut with a rich cream cheese base and macadamia nuts.

🍍 Hawaiian King Cheesecake Recipe

🧁 Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

  • ½ cup shredded sweetened coconut

  • ¼ cup finely chopped macadamia nuts

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

For the Filling:

  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, well-drained

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ½ cup coconut milk (unsweetened or lightly sweetened)

For the Topping:

  • ½ cup sweetened shredded coconut, lightly toasted

  • ¼ cup chopped macadamia nuts, toasted

  • Optional: pineapple chunks or glaze for garnish

🥣 Instructions

1. Prepare the crust:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).

  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, coconut, macadamia nuts, brown sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.

  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.

  • Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool slightly.

2. Make the filling:

  • Beat the cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.

  • Add sugar and mix until well combined.

  • Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.

  • Mix in vanilla extract, sour cream, and coconut milk.

  • Fold in the drained crushed pineapple gently.

3. Bake the cheesecake:

  • Pour filling into the cooled crust.

  • Tap the pan gently to release air bubbles.

  • Place the pan in a water bath (bain-marie) to avoid cracking.

  • Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 60–70 minutes, or until the center is just set.

  • Turn off oven, crack the door, and let cheesecake cool in oven for 1 hour.

4. Chill:

  • Remove from oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

5. Add the topping:

  • Before serving, top with toasted coconut and macadamia nuts.

  • Add fresh pineapple or glaze if desired.

🍰 Tips

  • Drain pineapple thoroughly to avoid a watery filling.

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture.

  • For extra flair, drizzle with white chocolate or pineapple glaze.
