Here’s a delicious Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Flatbread recipe that’s sweet, savory, and perfect for a quick dinner or party appetizer:


🍍 Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Flatbread

Servings: 2–4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10–15 minutes


📝 Ingredients:

  • 2 flatbreads or naan (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or chopped (grilled or rotisserie works great)

  • ½ cup barbecue sauce (sweet or smoky, your choice)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)

  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced

  • ½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (optional, for garnish)

  • Olive oil for brushing

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or preheat grill for indirect heat.

  2. Prep the flatbreads:
    Brush each flatbread lightly with olive oil and place on a baking sheet or pizza stone.

  3. Mix the chicken:
    In a bowl, toss shredded chicken with half of the barbecue sauce (¼ cup) to coat.

  4. Assemble flatbreads:

    • Spread the remaining ¼ cup barbecue sauce evenly over the flatbreads.

    • Sprinkle with half the cheese.

    • Add the BBQ chicken, pineapple chunks, red onion, and bell pepper (if using).

    • Top with remaining cheese.

  5. Bake or grill:

    • Bake in the oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and edges are golden.

    • On the grill, cook with the lid closed for 8–10 minutes over indirect heat.

  6. Garnish & serve:
    Sprinkle with chopped cilantro, slice, and serve hot!


💡 Tips:

  • Swap in smoked gouda or cheddar for extra flavor.

  • Use a spicy BBQ sauce for a sweet-heat contrast.

  • Add a drizzle of ranch or sriracha before serving for an extra kick.
