🌟 Glow-in-the-Dark Bubbles Recipe
🧪 Ingredients:
-
1 cup warm water
-
2 tablespoons dish soap (Dawn or Joy works best)
-
1 tablespoon glycerin (optional but helps bubbles last longer)
– You can substitute with corn syrup -
1–2 glow sticks (non-toxic, preferably the “glow liquid” kind)
– OR use glow-in-the-dark paint or pigment (non-toxic, water-based) -
Bubble wand or straw
🧼 Instructions:
-
Mix the Base:
-
In a bowl or container, combine warm water and dish soap.
-
Stir gently to avoid creating foam.
-
Add glycerin or corn syrup and mix well.
-
-
Add the Glow:
-
Carefully cut open the glow sticks (only if labeled non-toxic!) and pour the glowing liquid into your bubble solution.
(Wear gloves and be cautious; glow stick liquid can irritate skin.)
OR -
Mix in a small amount of non-toxic glow-in-the-dark paint or pigment. Stir until fully combined.
-
-
Charge (if needed):
-
If you’re using glow-in-the-dark paint/powder, “charge” the solution under a bright light or UV light for a few minutes.
-
-
Ready to Play:
-
Use a wand to blow bubbles and enjoy the glow! A black light will enhance the effect significantly.
-
🔐 Safety Notes:
-
Always use non-toxic materials.
-
Glow stick liquid can stain and irritate skin – use only as directed.
-
Best results are in low light or dark settings, especially with a UV/black light.
