Garlic Italian Grilled Chicken

Here’s a flavorful and easy Garlic Italian Grilled Chicken recipe that’s perfect for summer grilling:


Garlic Italian Grilled Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs if preferred)

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing (store-bought or homemade)

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced (or 1.5 tsp garlic paste)

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp dried basil

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Optional: 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (for a bit of heat)

  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or grated Parmesan


Instructions:

  1. Make the Marinade:

    • In a bowl or zip-top bag, mix together the olive oil, Italian dressing, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  2. Marinate the Chicken:

    • Add the chicken to the marinade and coat well.

    • Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2–4 hours. (Overnight works too for deeper flavor.)

  3. Grill the Chicken:

    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

    • Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off.

    • Grill for 5–7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the juices run clear.

  4. Rest & Serve:

    • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

    • Garnish with chopped parsley or a sprinkle of Parmesan if desired.


Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve with grilled vegetables, a side salad, or pasta tossed in olive oil and herbs.

  • Leftovers make great wraps or salad toppers!
