Posted on August 7, 2025

Here’s the step-by-step breakdown to help you prepare this mouthwatering dish.

Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Creamy Alfredo Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak (or ribeye, tenderloin, or any steak cut you prefer), cut into bite-sized cubes

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh thyme (or ½ tsp dried thyme)

  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

For the Alfredo Pasta:

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta (or any pasta of your choice)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated for the best flavor)

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Boil the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine (or your pasta of choice) and cook according to package instructions until al dente.

  2. Drain and set aside: Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set it aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Garlic Butter Steak Bites

  1. Season the steak: Pat the steak cubes dry with a paper towel. Season generously with salt and pepper.

  2. Cook the steak: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer. Sear the steak for about 2-3 minutes per side (depending on the size of the cubes), until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Garlic butter: In the same skillet, add 2 tbsp of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and thyme, stirring frequently until the garlic becomes fragrant, about 1 minute.

  4. Return steak to skillet: Add the cooked steak bites back into the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic butter. Cook for an additional minute, then remove from heat and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Alfredo Sauce

  1. Melt butter: In the same skillet (if there’s enough room), add 2 tbsp of butter and melt it over medium heat. If using a separate pan, melt the butter in a large saucepan.

  2. Sauté garlic: Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, making sure it doesn’t burn.

  3. Add cream: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cream thickens slightly.

  4. Add cheese: Lower the heat and whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until it’s fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using).

  5. Adjust consistency: If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired consistency.

Step 4: Combine the Pasta and Steak Bites

  1. Mix in pasta: Add the cooked fettuccine to the creamy Alfredo sauce, tossing it gently to coat the pasta in the sauce.

  2. Add steak bites: Carefully add the garlic butter steak bites to the pasta, mixing everything together until well combined.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Plate the dish: Serve the creamy Alfredo pasta with the steak bites on top or mixed in.

  2. Garnish: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the dish for a touch of color and freshness.

Tips & Variations:

  • Steak: You can use any cut of steak you like, but a tender cut like sirloin or ribeye works best for steak bites.

  • Pasta: Though fettuccine is classic for Alfredo, penne, spaghetti, or linguine are great alternatives.

  • Add veggies: You can add veggies like spinach, peas, or mushrooms to the Alfredo sauce for extra flavor and texture.

  • Extra cheese: If you love cheese, you can sprinkle additional Parmesan on top before serving.

This Garlic Butter Steak Bites & Creamy Alfredo Pasta is indulgent, comforting, and packed with flavor. The combination of the rich Alfredo sauce and juicy, garlicky steak bites is truly irresistible!
