Ingredients:

2 slices of bread (your choice: sourdough, whole wheat, or ciabatta)

1 boneless, skinless chicken breast

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tbsp unsalted butter

1 garlic clove, minced

2-3 leaves of fresh lettuce (romaine or butter lettuce works great)

2-3 slices of ripe tomato

Optional: mayonnaise or mustard for spreading
Instructions:

Prepare the Chicken:

Pound the chicken breast to an even thickness (about ½ inch) for even cooking.

Season with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Cook the chicken breast for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear.

Remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes, then slice.
