Fresh Beetroot Juice

Sure! Here’s a drecipe for making fresh, delicious beetroot juice. It’s simple, nutritious, and refreshing.


Fresh Beetroot Juice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium-sized fresh beetroots (about 300-400 grams)

  • 1 medium-sized apple (optional, for sweetness)

  • 1 small carrot (optional, for extra nutrients)

  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger (optional, for a zingy flavor)

  • Juice of half a lemon (optional, to balance sweetness and add freshness)

  • 1 cup water or coconut water (adjust as needed)

  • Ice cubes (optional)

Equipment:

  • Juicer or blender

  • Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth (if using blender)

  • Knife and cutting board

  • Citrus juicer (optional)


Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Wash the beetroots thoroughly to remove any dirt. Peel them if you prefer, though the skin contains nutrients and can be juiced if cleaned well.

  2. Chop the beets into small chunks, about 1-2 inch pieces, to help your juicer or blender.

  3. If using apple and carrot, wash and chop them as well, removing the apple core and carrot ends.

  4. Peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces.

Step 2: Juice the Ingredients

If you have a juicer:

  1. Feed the beetroot chunks into the juicer.

  2. Add apple, carrot, and ginger pieces alternately to mix flavors.

  3. Collect the juice in a container.

  4. Add lemon juice and water or coconut water if desired.

  5. Stir well.

If you have a blender:

  1. Add the beetroot, apple, carrot, and ginger pieces into the blender.

  2. Pour in about 1 cup of water or coconut water to help blend.

  3. Blend until smooth.

  4. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl to extract the juice, pressing down to get as much juice as possible.

  5. Add lemon juice and stir.

Step 3: Serve

  • Pour the juice into glasses.

  • Add ice cubes if you want it chilled.

  • Garnish with a lemon wedge or a mint leaf if you like.


Tips:

  • Beetroot juice can have a strong, earthy flavor. Adding apple and lemon juice balances it nicely.

  • Drink beetroot juice fresh for the best taste and maximum nutrient benefits.

  • Avoid using metallic containers for storing beet juice as it can react with metal; glass is best.

  • Beetroot juice is great for boosting stamina, detoxifying, and supporting heart health.
