Egg Paratha

Here’s a simple and delicious Egg Paratha recipe you can try at home:


🥚 Egg Paratha Recipe (Serves 2)

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (atta)

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • Water (as needed to knead)

  • 1 tsp oil (optional)

For the Egg Filling:

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 green chili (finely chopped, optional)

  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder (optional)

  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee (for cooking)


🔪 Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough:

  • Mix flour and salt in a bowl.

  • Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough.

  • Cover and rest for 15–20 minutes.

2. Make the Egg Mixture:

  • In a bowl, beat the eggs.

  • Add chopped onions, green chili, coriander, salt, pepper, and red chili powder.

  • Mix well.

3. Roll and Cook the Paratha:

  • Divide the dough into two balls.

  • Roll each ball into a medium-sized round roti (about 6–7 inches).

  • Heat a tawa or skillet on medium heat.

4. Add Egg Mixture:

  • Place the rolled paratha on the hot tawa.

  • Cook one side lightly, then flip.

  • Pour half the egg mixture over the cooked side, spreading quickly with a spoon.

  • Press gently and flip again to cook the egg side.

  • Drizzle a little oil around the edges and cook until golden and crispy on both sides.

5. Repeat:

  • Repeat with the second dough ball and remaining egg mixture.


🥄 Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with:

  • Mint chutney

  • Yogurt

  • Pickles

  • Tomato ketchup
