Here’s a quick and easy savory pancakes recipe — great for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner!


Easy Savory Pancakes

🕒 Ready in: 20 minutes

🍽 Serves: 2–3 people (makes ~6 pancakes)


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 2 eggs

  • 3/4 cup (180ml) milk

  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar or your favorite)

  • 1/2 cup chopped spring onions (or any other veggie: bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms)

  • 1 tbsp chopped herbs (parsley, chives, or cilantro – optional)

  • 1–2 tbsp oil or butter (for frying)


Optional Add-ins:

  • Cooked bacon bits or ham

  • Grated zucchini (squeeze excess water)

  • Chili flakes for heat


Instructions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients:
    In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Add wet ingredients:
    Crack in the eggs and pour in the milk. Whisk until smooth.

  3. Add fillings:
    Stir in cheese, spring onions, and any optional ingredients.

  4. Cook:
    Heat a little oil or butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Spoon in batter to form pancakes (~1/4 cup each). Cook 2–3 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through.

  5. Serve:
    Enjoy hot with sour cream, Greek yogurt, or a fried egg on top.
