Here’s a super easy and delicious recipe for Fried Cheese Bites that are crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside – perfect as a snack or appetizer!


🧀 Easy Fried Cheese Bites – Crunchy & Gooey

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225 g) mozzarella cheese (block or string cheese)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tbsp milk

  • 1 ½ cups seasoned breadcrumbs (panko or Italian-style work great)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)


Instructions:

  1. Prep the Cheese:

    • Cut cheese into bite-sized cubes (about 1-inch pieces).

    • Freeze the cheese pieces for 30–45 minutes – this helps prevent them from melting too fast when frying.

  2. Set Up Breading Station:

    • Bowl 1: Flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

    • Bowl 2: Beat eggs with milk.

    • Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs.

  3. Bread the Cheese Bites:

    • Roll each cheese cube in flour.

    • Dip into the egg wash.

    • Coat with breadcrumbs.

    • Optional: For extra crunch, repeat egg and breadcrumb step (double coat).

  4. Fry Them:

    • Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).

    • Fry cheese bites in small batches for 30–60 seconds, or until golden brown.

    • Remove with slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain.

  5. Serve Hot!

    • Serve immediately with marinara sauce, ranch, or your favorite dip.


🔁 Tips:

  • Try different cheeses like cheddar, pepper jack, or gouda.

  • Air fryer method: Spray bites with oil and air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway.
