Here’s a simple recipe for Easy Cheddar Cheese Rolls — soft, cheesy, and perfect as a snack or side for soups, salads, or dinners.


🧀 Easy Cheddar Cheese Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • ¾ cup milk (whole or 2%)

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder (if using).

  3. Add cheese: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.

  4. Combine wet ingredients: Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined — do not overmix. The dough will be sticky.

  5. Shape the rolls: Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop 10–12 mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown on top and cooked through.

  7. Serve warm: Enjoy plain, or brush the tops with a little extra melted butter and sprinkle with herbs for a flavor boost.


🔁 Variations:

  • Spicy: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chopped jalapeños.

  • Herby: Stir in 1 tsp dried herbs like parsley, thyme, or chives.

  • More cheesy: Use a mix of cheddar and mozzarella for stretchier rolls.
