🥢 Classic Dim Sum Dipping Sauces

  1. Soy Sauce + Chili Oil

    • Best for: Dumplings (har gow, siu mai), steamed buns.

    • Recipe: Light soy sauce with a spoonful of chili oil (Lao Gan Ma is popular) and optional splash of black vinegar.

  2. Black Vinegar + Ginger

    • Best for: Xiao long bao (soup dumplings), pork dumplings.

    • Recipe: Chinese black vinegar with thinly julienned fresh ginger.

  3. Hoisin + Chili Sauce

    • Best for: Cheung fun (rice noodle rolls), roast pork buns.

    • Recipe: Mix hoisin sauce with chili garlic sauce (like Huy Fong).

  4. Hot Mustard + Soy Sauce
