Dill Pickle Saltines

Posted on July 8, 2025

Here’s a simple and tasty Dill Pickle Saltines recipe you can make at home! These are salty, tangy, and crunchy — perfect for snacking or serving alongside sandwiches.

Dill Pickle Saltines Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 sleeve of Saltine crackers (about 40 crackers)

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • 1 tablespoon dill pickle juice (from a jar of dill pickles)

  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed (or 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional, adjust to taste)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).

  2. Prepare the seasoning:
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, dill pickle juice, dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  3. Arrange crackers:
Place the Saltine crackers in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

  4. Brush with seasoning:
Using a pastry brush, lightly brush each cracker with the dill pickle butter mixture. Make sure to coat them evenly but don’t soak the crackers too much.

  5. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes. This will help the crackers absorb the flavors and get crispy without burning.

  6. Cool and serve:
Remove from oven and let cool completely. The crackers will crisp up even more as they cool.

Tips:

  • You can adjust the amount of dill pickle juice to taste if you want a stronger or milder pickle flavor.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container to keep them crunchy.
