Here’s a tasty recipe for Crispy Meat-Filled Dumpling Rolls—a delicious snack or appetizer with a crunchy outside and savory meat inside.


Crispy Meat-Filled Dumpling Rolls

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 300g ground pork (or beef/chicken)

  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage or napa cabbage

  • 2-3 green onions, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (to bind)

For the rolls:

  • Dumpling wrappers or spring roll wrappers (about 20-25 pieces)

  • Oil for deep frying

For dipping sauce (optional):

  • Soy sauce

  • Rice vinegar

  • Chili flakes or chili sauce

  • Sesame oil


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the filling:

    • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, pepper, salt, sugar, and cornstarch.

    • Mix well until fully combined and the mixture is sticky enough to hold together.

  2. Assemble the rolls:

    • Lay one wrapper on a clean flat surface.

    • Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the meat filling near one edge of the wrapper.

    • Fold the sides over the filling, then roll tightly toward the opposite edge, sealing the edge with a little water to keep it closed.

    • Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. Fry the rolls:

    • Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

    • Fry the rolls in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy (about 3-5 minutes).

    • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. Serve:

    • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
