Crispy Golden BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Nachos Recipe

These nachos take the best of both worlds—juicy BBQ bacon cheeseburger flavors and crispy tortilla chips—combining them into a delicious and satisfying dish that’s perfect for any party or casual meal.

Ingredients:

For the Nachos:

  • 1 bag of tortilla chips (about 10-12 oz)

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 6 slices of crispy bacon, chopped

  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 small red onion, diced

  • 1 small tomato, diced

  • Pickles (optional, for topping)

For the Toppings:

  • Sour cream (for drizzling)

  • Fresh cilantro, chopped

  • Extra BBQ sauce (for drizzling)

  • Jalapeño slices (optional for some heat)


Directions:

  1. Prepare the Beef:

    • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks.

    • Once browned and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes), drain any excess fat, then stir in the BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the beef absorbs the BBQ sauce and is coated nicely. Set aside.

  2. Cook the Bacon:

    • In a separate pan, cook the bacon until crispy (about 5-6 minutes), then remove from the pan and chop into bite-sized pieces.

  3. Assemble the Nachos:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread an even layer of tortilla chips.

    • Top with the BBQ ground beef mixture, chopped bacon, diced onions, and diced tomatoes.

    • Generously sprinkle the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the top.

  4. Bake the Nachos:

    • Place the nachos in the oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the chips are crispy around the edges.

  5. Add Toppings:

    • Once the nachos are done, remove them from the oven and top with fresh cilantro, extra BBQ sauce, sour cream, pickles, and optional jalapeños.

  6. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Serve hot with extra napkins and enjoy the crispy, cheesy, BBQ goodness!
