Here’s a fun and delicious Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries recipe for you! These sweet, crispy fries are perfect as a snack or dessert. You can serve them with a dip like caramel sauce or even a little cinnamon sugar for extra flavor.

Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries

Ingredients:

  • 2 large apples (preferably firm varieties like Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Granny Smith)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko breadcrumbs work best for extra crunch)

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

  • 2 tbsp sugar (optional, for sweetness)

  • 1 large egg (beaten)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or cooking spray (to coat)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Apples:

    • Wash and peel the apples.

    • Cut them into fries or wedges (about 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick).

    • Remove the core and seeds as you cut.

  2. Set up the Breading Station:

    • In one bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, and sugar (if using).

    • In a second bowl, beat the egg with the vanilla extract (if using).

    • In a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs.

  3. Coat the Apple Fries:

    • First, dip each apple fry into the flour mixture, coating it evenly.

    • Next, dip it into the beaten egg mixture.

    • Then, coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to make sure the crumbs stick.

  4. Preheat the Air Fryer:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.

  5. Air Fry the Apple Fries:

    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with a bit of oil.

    • Place the apple fries in the basket in a single layer, leaving a little space between them.

    • Air fry at 375°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they’re golden and crispy.

  6. Serve:

    • Serve immediately while hot and crispy! You can drizzle with caramel sauce, chocolate syrup, or a dusting of powdered sugar if you like.

Tips:

  • For an extra crispy texture, you can try adding a small amount of cornstarch to the flour mixture.

  • Feel free to sprinkle a bit of cinnamon sugar on top after they’re cooked for an extra sweet touch!
