Here’s a simple and delicious Creamy White Chocolate Mousse recipe for you:


Creamy White Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:

  • 200g (7 oz) white chocolate, chopped

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream

  • 2 large eggs, separated

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • Pinch of salt


Instructions:

  1. Melt the white chocolate:
    Place the chopped white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water (double boiler). Stir gently until smooth and melted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. Whip the cream:
    In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

  3. Beat egg whites:
    In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.

  4. Mix egg yolks with chocolate:
    Stir the egg yolks and vanilla extract (if using) into the slightly cooled white chocolate until smooth.

  5. Combine mixtures:
    Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture. Then carefully fold in the beaten egg whites until fully incorporated. Be gentle to keep the mousse light and airy.

  6. Chill:
    Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to set.


Serving suggestion:
Top with fresh berries, shaved white chocolate, or a sprig of mint for a fancy touch!
