Here’s a tasty and easy recipe for Cranberry Turkey Stuffing Balls — perfect as a holiday appetizer or side!
Cranberry Turkey Stuffing Balls
Ingredients:
-
4 cups prepared turkey stuffing (store-bought or homemade)
-
1 ½ cups cooked turkey, shredded or finely chopped
-
½ cup dried cranberries (or fresh chopped cranberries)
-
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional but delicious)
-
2 large eggs, beaten
-
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
-
¼ cup finely chopped onion (optional)
-
1 tsp poultry seasoning or sage
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Olive oil or melted butter (for brushing or frying)
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
-
In a large bowl, combine the turkey stuffing, cooked turkey, cranberries, shredded cheese, eggs, parsley, onion, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
-
Using your hands or a small ice cream scoop, form mixture into balls about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Lightly brush or spray the balls with olive oil or melted butter to help them brown and crisp up.
-
Bake for about 20–25 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden brown and heated through.
-
Serve warm with a side of cranberry sauce, gravy, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips:
-
For extra crispy balls, after baking, you can pan-fry them in a little butter or oil for 2-3 minutes per side.
-
Swap cheddar for mozzarella or leave cheese out if preferred.
-
Add chopped nuts (like pecans) for extra texture.
