Cornflake Candy

Here’s a simple and delicious Cornflake Candy recipe — a no-bake treat that’s perfect for holidays or anytime you need a quick dessert!


Cornflake Candy Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup light corn syrup

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 5–6 cups cornflakes cereal

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Prepare your setup:

    • Line a baking sheet or counter with wax paper or parchment paper.

    • Measure out the cornflakes into a large mixing bowl.

  2. Make the candy base:

    • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the corn syrup and sugar.

    • Stir constantly and heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture just starts to boil. (Do not let it boil too long, or the candy will be hard!)

  3. Add peanut butter:

    • Remove the saucepan from heat.

    • Stir in the peanut butter (and vanilla, if using) until smooth.

  4. Combine with cornflakes:

    • Immediately pour the hot mixture over the cornflakes.

    • Stir gently but quickly to coat the flakes without crushing them too much.

  5. Form the candies:

    • Drop spoonfuls onto the prepared wax/parchment paper.

    • Let them cool and set (about 30 minutes to 1 hour).


Tips:

  • You can use a cookie scoop to make uniform-sized candies.

  • Add a drizzle of melted chocolate on top for an extra touch.

  • For a crunchier texture, use crunchy peanut butter.
