Here’s a delicious Chocolate Chip Croissant Loaf recipe for you! It’s like buttery croissants baked into a loaf with melty chocolate chips inside—perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.
Chocolate Chip Croissant Loaf
Ingredients:
-
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or croissant dough if you can find it)
-
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chocolate chunks)
-
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
-
1/4 cup granulated sugar
-
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
-
1 egg (for egg wash)
-
1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
-
Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. -
Prepare dough:
Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the seams to seal so it forms one large sheet. -
Butter & cinnamon sugar:
Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon (if using), then sprinkle it evenly over the buttered dough. -
Add chocolate chips:
Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the dough. -
Roll & place in pan:
Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the edges to seal. Place the log seam-side down into the prepared loaf pan. -
Egg wash:
Beat the egg with water and brush the top of the loaf for a nice golden color. -
Bake:
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. -
Cool & serve:
Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Tips:
-
Use good-quality chocolate chips or chunks for the best melty results.
-
Serve warm for gooey chocolate or slice it when cool.
-
You can add nuts like chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.
