Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups

Posted on June 4, 2025

Absolutely! Here’s a  recipe for Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups — including tips, ingredient notes, and optional add-ons to help you make them just the way you like.

Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups (Makes 8 Roll-Ups)

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
(Brands like Pillsbury work great. If using crescent dough sheets, cut into triangles.)

Filling:

  • 32 slices pepperoni
(About 4 slices per roll; use turkey pepperoni for a lighter version.)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    (Low-moisture, part-skim melts best.)

  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
(Optional but adds great flavor — a mix of oregano, basil, thyme, and rosemary.)

Topping (Optional):

  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    (Mix with butter for brushing.)

For Serving:

  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup pizza or marinara sauce, warmed
(For dipping — jarred or homemade works.)

Instructions:

1. Prep the Oven & Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray with cooking spray.

2. Prepare the Dough

  • Unroll the crescent roll dough carefully on a clean surface.

  • Separate it into 8 individual triangles (per the perforations).

3. Add the Filling

  • On the wide end of each dough triangle:

    • Lay down 4 slices of pepperoni, slightly overlapping.

    • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella over the pepperoni.

    • Sprinkle with a pinch of Italian seasoning.

💡 Tip: Don’t overload with cheese or it may ooze out during baking.

4. Roll Them Up

  • Starting from the wide end, roll the dough tightly toward the point, enclosing the filling.

  • Tuck in any loose cheese or pepperoni as you go.

  • Place the roll-ups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

5. Add Optional Garlic Butter

  • Mix melted butter and garlic powder in a small bowl.

  • Brush the tops of the roll-ups lightly for a golden, flavorful crust.

6. Bake

  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

  • Cheese may bubble out slightly — that’s okay!

7. Cool Slightly & Serve

  • Let cool for 2–3 minutes.

  • Serve warm with a side of marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.
