Posted on June 12, 2025

Here’s a rich and flavorful Cheesy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tortellini with Spinach in Creamy Sauce recipe—perfect for a comforting dinner. It’s easy to make and ready in under 40 minutes!

📝 Ingredients

For the chicken:

  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

For the sauce:

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated is best)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 3–4 cups fresh spinach

  • 1 (9 oz / 250g) package refrigerated cheese tortellini (or frozen, cooked according to package)

🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken:

    • Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.

    • Add chicken and sauté until golden brown and cooked through (about 5–7 minutes). Remove chicken and set aside.

  2. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.

    • Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

    • Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and melted.

  3. Add Tortellini & Spinach:

    • Add cooked tortellini and fresh spinach to the sauce. Simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spinach wilts and tortellini is coated.

  4. Combine Everything:

    • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Mix to coat the chicken evenly with the sauce. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes to reheat everything.

  5. Serve:

    • Garnish with more Parmesan and cracked black pepper if desired. Serve hot!

💡 Tips:

  • You can substitute grilled or rotisserie chicken if you’re short on time.

  • Add sun-dried tomatoes or mushrooms for extra flavor.

  • To lighten it up, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
