Cheese Pepperoni Pizza Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Pizza dough: 1 ball (store-bought or homemade, about 12-inch size)

  • Pizza sauce: 1/2 cup (tomato-based)

  • Mozzarella cheese: 1 ½ cups shredded

  • Pepperoni slices: 20-30 slices

  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon

  • Dried oregano or Italian seasoning: 1 teaspoon (optional)

  • Flour or cornmeal: for dusting


Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:
    Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.

  2. Prepare the dough:
    On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle.

  3. Add sauce:
    Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border (about 1/2 inch) around the edges.

  4. Add cheese:
    Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.

  5. Add pepperoni:
    Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly on top of the cheese.

  6. Season:
    Drizzle a little olive oil around the crust edges and sprinkle dried oregano or Italian seasoning over the pizza if desired.

  7. Bake:
    Transfer the pizza to the oven (onto a pizza stone or baking sheet) and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

  8. Cool and serve:
    Remove from oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and enjoy!


Want a tip for extra crispy pepperoni? You can microwave the pepperoni slices on a paper towel for 30 seconds before adding them to the pizza.
