Here’s a Caramel Apple Fudge recipe that combines the creamy richness of fudge with the sweet-tart flavors of apples and a gooey caramel swirl. Perfect for fall or any time you want a decadent treat.

🍎 Caramel Apple Fudge Recipe

βœ… Yields:

About 36 squares (depends on how you cut it)

πŸ•’ Prep Time:

15 minutes
πŸ•’ Cook Time: 10 minutes
πŸ•’ Chill Time: 3–4 hours

πŸ§‚ Ingredients

For the Apple Fudge:

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips

  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 packet apple cider drink mix (or 2 tablespoons apple cider powder)*

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg (optional, for warmth)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup dried apples, finely chopped (optional, but adds texture and flavor)

For the Caramel Swirl:

  • 15 unwrapped soft caramels (about 5 oz)

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk

πŸ₯£ Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Pan

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil. Lightly grease for easy removal.

Step 2: Make the Caramel

  1. In a small saucepan (or microwave-safe bowl), melt the caramels and heavy cream together over low heat (or in 30-sec bursts in the microwave), stirring until smooth.

  2. Set aside to cool slightly while you prepare the fudge base.

Step 3: Make the Apple Fudge

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine:

    • White chocolate chips

    • Sweetened condensed milk

    • Butter

  2. Stir over low to medium-low heat until everything is melted and smooth (don’t overheat or the chocolate may seize).

  3. Remove from heat and quickly stir in:

    • Apple cider powder

    • Cinnamon

    • Nutmeg (if using)

    • Vanilla

    • Dried apple bits (if using)

Step 4: Assemble the Fudge

  1. Pour half the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth out.

  2. Drizzle half the caramel mixture in random lines or swirls.

  3. Add the rest of the fudge on top, smooth it out.

  4. Drizzle the remaining caramel and use a knife or skewer to gently swirl through the fudge.

Step 5: Chill

  1. Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours (or until fully set).

  2. Once firm, lift the fudge out and cut into small squares.

πŸ“ Tips

  • Apple cider powder gives it the concentrated flavor of apples. If you can’t find the powder, reduce some real apple cider on the stove until syrupy and add that.

  • Add-ins like chopped walnuts or pecans pair nicely with the apple-caramel flavor.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
