🦞 Broiled Lobster Tails in Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce

Ingredients:

For the Lobster Tails:

  • 4 lobster tails (5–6 oz each), thawed if frozen

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Paprika (optional, for color)

For the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 5 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional – can substitute with chicken broth)

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)

  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prepare the Lobster Tails:

  1. Preheat your oven’s broiler (high heat).

  2. Using kitchen shears, cut down the center of the lobster shell lengthwise, stopping at the tail. Carefully lift the meat and place it on top of the shell (“piggyback” style).

  3. Drizzle lobster meat with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, and a little paprika for color.

2. Broil the Lobster Tails:

  1. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet.

  2. Broil for 7–10 minutes, depending on size, or until the meat is opaque and slightly browned on top. Internal temp should reach 140–145°F (60–63°C).

  3. Remove from oven and let rest while you make the sauce.

3. Make the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter.

  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (don’t brown it).

  3. Pour in the wine (or broth), and simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.

  4. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

  5. Add Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  6. Simmer for another 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  7. Stir in chopped parsley.

4. Serve:

  • Place lobster tails on plates.

  • Spoon the creamy garlic butter sauce generously over the top.

  • Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges.

🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve with buttery mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.

  • Pairs beautifully with a chilled Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc.
