Bread in 10 minutes! No oven!

Here’s a quick and easy no-oven bread recipe you can make in about 10 minutes on the stovetop! It’s a simple flatbread — soft, warm, and perfect for dipping or sandwiches.


Stovetop Quick Flatbread (No Oven)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)

  • 1/3 cup water (warm)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or any cooking oil)

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • Optional: pinch of baking powder (for a bit fluffier bread)


Instructions:

  1. Mix dough: In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder (if using). Add the warm water and olive oil. Stir until it comes together.

  2. Knead: Lightly flour a surface and knead the dough for about 2 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  3. Divide & roll: Divide the dough into 2-3 balls. Roll each ball out into a thin circle or oval (about 1/8 inch thick).

  4. Cook: Heat a non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium heat. Place one flatbread in the pan. Cook for about 2 minutes until bubbles form and the underside is golden.

  5. Flip: Flip and cook another 1-2 minutes until golden spots appear and it’s cooked through.

  6. Serve: Keep warm by wrapping in a clean towel. Serve with dips, use as wraps, or enjoy plain.


Tips:

  • You can add herbs, garlic powder, or spices into the dough for extra flavor.

  • These bread flatbreads are best eaten fresh but can be reheated quickly on the stovetop.
