BBQ Bacon Ranch BLT Sandwich

Posted on September 10, 2025

Here’s a  recipe for a BBQ Bacon Ranch BLT Sandwich — loaded with smoky bacon, creamy ranch, tangy BBQ sauce, and fresh veggies. Let’s get into it!

BBQ Bacon Ranch BLT Sandwich
Ingredients (Serves 2)

Bread:

4 slices of sturdy sandwich bread (like sourdough, Texas toast, or your favorite)

Meat & Sauce:

8 slices thick-cut bacon

2 tablespoons BBQ sauce (choose your favorite—sweet, smoky, or spicy)

2 tablespoons ranch dressing

Veggies & Extras:

1 large ripe tomato, sliced

4-6 large fresh lettuce leaves (romaine or iceberg)

1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Butter (optional):

2 tablespoons butter (for toasting bread)

Instructions
1. Prepare the Bacon

Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy (about 8-10 minutes), flipping occasionally.

Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Once cooled slightly, toss the bacon slices gently with BBQ sauce to coat them evenly but don’t drown them.

2. Toast the Bread

Optional but recommended for crunch and flavor:

Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

Toast bread, butter side down, until golden brown and crispy (~2-3 minutes).

Flip and toast the other side briefly or leave it plain.

3. Assemble the Sandwich

Spread ranch dressing evenly on one side of two bread slices.

Layer the lettuce on top of the ranch.

Add tomato slices, sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.

Add the BBQ-coated bacon strips on top of the tomato.

If using, add thin red onion slices over the bacon.

Top with the remaining bread slices.

4. Serve

Slice the sandwich diagonally and serve immediately with your favorite sides (fries, chips, or a crisp salad).

Tips & Variations:

Add cheese: A slice of sharp cheddar or pepper jack melts wonderfully.

Spicy kick: Mix a bit of sriracha into the ranch for a spicy ranch.

Avocado: Add sliced avocado for creaminess and extra nutrition.

Bread alternatives: Try ciabatta or a hearty bun for different textures.
