Baked Parmesan Potato Fries

Posted on June 25, 2025

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Baked Parmesan Potato Fries that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a cheesy, flavorful kick!

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, for a smoky flavor)

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional, for an herbaceous touch)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley or basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

  2. Prep the potatoes:

    • Wash the potatoes thoroughly and peel them if you prefer (or leave the skins on for extra texture and nutrients).

    • Cut the potatoes into fries, about 1/2 inch wide (you can make them thinner for extra crispiness or thicker for a more substantial bite).

  3. Toss the potatoes:

    • Place the cut potatoes in a large bowl.

    • Drizzle with olive oil and toss well to coat.

    • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Toss again to evenly coat the fries with the seasoning.

  4. Bake the fries:

    • Spread the fries out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overcrowded so they cook evenly and become crispy.

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.

  5. Add Parmesan:

    • Remove the fries from the oven, then sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot fries while they’re still on the baking sheet. Return them to the oven for another 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.

  6. Serve:

    • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley or basil for a pop of color and flavor.

    • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce (like ketchup, ranch, or garlic aioli)!
