Here’s a simple and flavorful recipe for Baked Cajun Shrimp—perfect for a quick dinner or as an appetizer!


🔥 Baked Cajun Shrimp Recipe

Total Time: 20–25 mins


🧂 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or melted butter)

  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade — see below)

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra depth)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

  • Lemon wedges, for serving


🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Prep the shrimp: Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.

  3. Mix the seasoning: In a bowl, combine olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic, lemon juice, and paprika (if using). Add a pinch of salt and black pepper.

  4. Coat the shrimp: Toss the shrimp in the mixture until well coated.

  5. Arrange on baking sheet: Spread the shrimp out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake: Roast for 8–12 minutes, or until shrimp are pink, curled, and opaque. Do not overcook!

  7. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.


🌶️ Optional Homemade Cajun Seasoning:

(Mix and store in a jar)

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to spice preference)

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve over rice, pasta, or salad

  • Pair with roasted veggies or crusty bread

  • Use in tacos or wraps
